THANK YOU! Over 99% of the food, toys, and linens that keep our shelter animals’ bellies full, their minds active and their beds warm are donated by YOU!
Please place items in the donation bins outside the shelter, even when the shelter is open. The donation bins are located outside the building, at the end of the main sidewalk. They are open 24/7, and protected from the weather. We empty them in the mornings and in the evenings. Even if you are worried about an item freezing, please put it in the bins – by law, we are required to sort and catalogue all donated items. Please do not bring them into the shelter and give to personnel.

A tax receipt is possible for all donated items, but please note with the change of New York tax laws in 2016, unless the estimated value of donated items for the year is equal to or exceeds $5,000, New York state does not apply it to your taxes.

Amazon and Chewy will ship your purchased items directly to UCSPCA making gift giving easy. We are thrilled to have Lucas Pet Supply as a Pet Pantry Partner with us!
Every year, nearly 8,000 animals are paw-sitively impacted by the work of the Ulster County SPCA in Ulster County and beyond. Many of those are homeless, abused, or neglected animals taken into our care in our shelter. Others are the pets of community members facing financial or personal difficulties, and need our help to keep their pets in safe, loving home rather than surrender them to the shelter. In 2023 alone, we distributed over 23,000 lbs of pet food and supplies to community members in Ulster County.
To continue to provide these life-changing resources to pets and their families in Ulster County, we need the support of our local businesses! Pet Pantry Partners donate bags of food and litter to stock our pet food pantry, as well as offer opportunities for customers to purchase items from their store and donate them to the Ulster County SPCA. Our Pet Pantry Partners help ensure there are no empty bowls in the shelter and in the homes of our community members! Together, we keep pets in safe and loving homes!
- For every 12 bags of 30# Fromm Classic dog food 2 bags will be donated
