Our Monthly Sponsorship Levels

$50 a Month

Sponsor a pet’s living space and their needs while they live at the shelter.

In 2019 alone, we provided over 1,200 pets with shelter, including dogs, cats, small animals and farm animals. Because we are a no-kill shelter, the animals in our care live with us until they find their fur-ever home. Some animals are very lucky and are adopted quickly. Others wait months or even years to find a home. Your monthly sponsorship provides for their living space and their daily care, and makes a wonderful gift of safety for an adoptable shelter animal.

A plaque recognizing the contribution of your business or the name of an individual will be prominently displayed on the door. Individual dog kennels, open cat rooms, small animal spaces, and kennels for animals with special medical needs are available for sponsorship.

$250 a Month

Sponsor the “Pets of the Week” adoptable pets for a month to increase their chances of finding their fur-ever homes.

“Pet of the Week” highlights a different dog, cat or small animal each week. In social media posts, online videos, onsite posters, radio promotions, print articles and collaboration with local businesses, we aim to bring attention to shelter animals that might otherwise be overlooked. Often, reading about a particular animal encourages a potential adopter to come in and meet them. Every pet is their own individual and deserves the opportunity to put their best paw forward.

Sponsors are recognized in each “Pets of the Week” online video and poster for individual pets, the monthly e-newsletter to donors, mention during the weekly radio spot on “The Happy Hour with Nadine Ferraro”, and a focused social media post each week for the sponsored month.

$500 a Month (3-month minimum)

Sponsor the transport of pets from shelters forced to euthanize due to a lack of space.

We work with other shelters and animal welfare organizations across the east coast and southern United States to ensure adoptable shelter animals have the chance to find their fur-ever home. It is a sad fact that many shelters are forced to euthanize due to a lack of space, and many wonderful animals lose their lives rather than finding a family.

Nearly every month, we transport litters of puppies, hard luck cases, and pets who have “overstayed” at other shelters to the Ulster County SPCA, where they are cared for and often adopted into new homes. This lifesaving work is one of our greatest accomplishments, and we hope you will be a part of that mission.

Sponsors receive their logo on the Ulster County SPCA van, which is used for transports as well as weekly community events around Ulster County. Sponsors are also mentioned in all transport social media posts, the quarterly direct mail newsletter, the monthly e-newsletter to donors, and a focused social media post each sponsored month.

$1,000 a Month (6-month minimum)

Sponsor our humane law efforts to reduce cases of animal abuse and cruelty in Ulster County.

The Ulster County SPCA is the only humane law enforcement agency in the entirety of Ulster County. In 2019 alone, we investigated over 280 cases of animal abuse in our community. These cases include intentional neglect and endangerment, abandonment, hoarding cases, unscrupulous commercial breeders, blood sport and gambling activities, domestic violence involving pets, and violent wrongful death.

We take this work very seriously, and are proud of the professionalism and dedication of our humane law officers, who work in collaboration with county and state law enforcement to investigate and prosecute cases of abuse. Our humane law officers are also peace offices, assisting with our pet owner support programs, which provide support to members of our community facing hardship, discrimination and social barriers to keep their beloved pets.

Along with providing shelter, medical care and adoption opportunities, this work lies at the heart of our mission, and we greatly appreciate your support in these efforts to combat animal abuse in our community.
